A bright future

Kurlands skola in Lörenskog realised that it was time to make a switch to LED at the school; partly to save energy and money, but also to create a better educational environment for pleasurable learning. All lights in classrooms, canteens and public areas have been replaced as a result, and students and staff alike are more than pleased with the results.

- A classroom is an important workplace, full of activity and movement. Good work lighting is important as it enhances student performance and well-being, says Anne Berg, Chairman at Kurlands skola.

Having the right lighting in schools and preschools makes a major difference, and quality of lighting is more important to health and well-being than most people realise.

- We are seeing an increasing demand for interior fittings. Lighting is a well-being issue, and as far as we are concerned, the fact that more and more schools are investing in the environment and energy-smart LED lighting is extremely positive. We have solutions that can make it easy for more people to follow the good example set by Kurlands skola, says Charlotte Eisner, Global Sales and Market Director at DEFA e-mobility and Lighting.
