DEFA is launching two new versions of its award-winning DEFA SmartCharge home charger, along with several new accessories. The new 6A and 10A versions, together with the 4A and 8A versions, offer customers a safer, easier way to charge batteries for all vehicle types. All chargers in the SmartCharge series come with Powersupply mode, which helps users to protect delicate electronics and retain the car's settings. The new SmartCharge accessories make charging and control of batteries easier than ever.

DEFA's SmartCharge series has previously won the Award for Design Excellence presented by the Norwegian Design Council and has become very popular among consumers. It is very easy to operate with a single button to select ON or OFF. SmartCharge automatically identifies the battery type and Ah and then selects the optimum charging curve. The range of SmartCharge accessories includes cables for permanent installation, thereby facilitating charging as the user does not need direct access to the battery every time it is charged, a cable kit that makes it easier than ever to charge the battery or mobile phone on a boat or in a caravan, and an integrated battery indicator.

SmartCharge chargers are compatible with all lead-acid battery types and offer efficient charging of batteries between 2Ah and 250Ah from levels as low as 2V. SmartCharge adapts to the battery, so you get several chargers in one. SmartCharge 4A for 1A, 2A and 4A, SmartCharge 6A for 1A, 2A, 4A and 6A, SmartCharge 8A for 2A, 4A, 6A and 8A, and SmartCharge 10A for 2A, 4A, 6A, 8A and 10A. The more powerful the charger is, the easier it is to charge the battery.
