DEFA Power marks a monumental leap forward as an AC charger that fully implements OCPP 2.0.1 standards. OCPP 2.0.1 represents the pinnacle of interoperability and functionality in EV charging protocols. The protocol enables better monitoring capabilities for Charge Point Operators (CPOs), allowing for predictive maintenance and higher charger uptime for EV drivers, as well as native support for user-friendly Plug & Charge powered by ISO 15118, eliminating the need for card readers, RFID cards, or apps.

Switch EV is certified for OCPP 2.0.1 by the Open Charge Alliance while additionally supporting legacy protocol OCPP 1.6 This strategic partnership between DEFA and Switch EV signifies a commitment to delivering unparalleled features and charging experiences to EV owners.
